Studies have shown poitive effects of rTMS on Obesity and Bulimia
Researchers regard Bulimia nervosa as a disturbance of impulse control. Certain brain areas are underactivated. rTMS influences the abnormal food intake. That rTMS also reduces weight in normal subjects was shown in several studies.
Initial treatment can be performed at the outpatient practice of Dr. Seemann in form of an intensive 2 – 4 week treatment, with rTMS sessions each day.
