Does TMS therapy actually work?
Whether TMS “works” depends on the indication, the protocol, and the clinical context. A serious assessment relies on transparent standards: a clear indication, structured protocols, a safety check, and realistic goals — not on big promises. TMS/ rTMS has been studied for many years, and the broader evidence landscape is reflected in the research activity, conference talks, and publications listed below.
Who provides rTMS?
rTMS belongs in experienced hands: physicians (and teams working under medical responsibility) assess indication, safety, and treatment goals first. They then define the protocol (target region, frequency, intensity, and number of sessions) and monitor progress, so the approach remains structured, safe, and medically grounded.
Is there scientific evidence for the effectiveness of TPS therapy?
TPS is also being investigated in a growing number of clinical and research contexts. Evidence needs to be interpreted by indication: some uses are studied more extensively than others, and certain applications may be off-label depending on the setting.
